Carbonxt’s customized powdered activated carbons (PACs) are designed with the flexibility to meet unique plant requirements in the most economical manner. Our team works in partnership with utilities to engineer PACs that will best address their compliance requirements.

Our Cxt activated carbon product line features impregnated powdered activated carbon  produced from coal that is engineered for removal of mercury in the gas and aqueous phases.  The unique pore structure of our PACs permits the rapid adsorption and removal of mercury from combustion gases from various environments.  These distinctive physical features in concert with enhanced activity result in a high capacity sorbent for mercury capture.

Carbonxt’s proven oxidizing, non-halogenated PACs are highly suitable for flue gas with high elemental mercury and/or SO3 concentrations. Our patented oxidizing technology does not contain bromine or other halogens, thereby eliminating potential corrosion concerns.
